Brief History Story of Saklikent starts in 1972 with the establishment of Beydaglari Saklikent Building Cooperative (BSC). On its privately owned land of 45 hectares, BSC builds 477 detached houses and enriches the project with some social properties; a 45 beds motel, 1 restaurant and 2 T-Bar lifts, all for the use of its members. In order to develop the region, in 2002, BSC decides to hire the entire land and its social properties to a privately owned company, capable of investing, developing and managing the project. Following a couple of meetings, our company Saklikent Tourism Investments & Management Trading Inc. (Saklikent Tourism) shake hands with BSC Management and signs a hire contract built on “built-operate-transfer” model to invest, develop and manage the whole land and properties until the year 2042. Right after overtaking the project, Saklikent Tourism builds Karakaya Chair Lift, Ski Rental Building, Fast Food Cafe, Panorama Cafe & Bar and Grill Bufe. Our company also purchases 2 snowtrucks and 1 snowmobile to keep the ski-runs up and running, and to provide better ski and boarding conditions. In addition to Saklikent Mountain Motel, Saklikent Tourism still invests in a Hotel composed of 220 beds, indoor/outdoor swimming pools, restaurant, bars, night club, wellness spa, Turkish Bath, fitness center and meeting rooms. The hotel is expected to be in service as of Summer 2010.
Saklikent Tourism is well aware of the unusual and unique assets of Saklikent and aims to turn this place into one of the most extraordinary ski resorts and luxury eco camps of the world to host upmarket local and foreign travelers as well as corporate organisations, not only during winter time but the whole year.
